:+: Happy Birthday Pa :+:

Belated post...

Won 4 tickets to the movies, Pirates of the Caribbean 3. Thanks to DiGi Fu-Yoh!, we celebrated Daddy's birthday differently this year. ^^ We had a SIMPLE dinner opposite Star Cineplex, Green Hill Kopitiam. We ordered lots of food, but only the Chu Bi (Glutinous/Pulut Rice) is worth blogging.

The Ang Tau (Red Bean) and Oh` (Yam) Chu Bies are the sweet type. The chu bi is sweet and chewy. The middle is soft and sweet. Everything sweet, makes you feel sweet too. *_*

The Toh Tau (Peanut) Chu Bi is the salty type. The chu bi and its peanuts are salty. I don't like this one because I prefer the sweet type ones. Hehe...
In short, the Chu Bies are really DELICIOUS! The Taukeh-Nio just peng the chu bies and it has really nice fragrance. Yummylicious! Sangat SEDAP & WANGI! Gosh.. I want some now. *craving*

The Cha Kueh is just okay. I still prefer the Cha Kueh from Kenyalang Old Market. That's the best! Nombor Satu.

The inside of Green Hill Kopitiam are all green. All the sign boards are sponsored by Milo (Green)

The movie starts at 7pm, so we had our dinner at 6pm and hopped into the cinema at 6.30pm. Early birds get the worms. It's free seating, so, if we got there earlier we could get good seats (middle of the theatre). I wanted to grab the good seats to watch my favourite Jack Sparrow and Monkey Jack.

Overall, it was a great movie! Just as I expected. Now, I shall wait for POTC 4 (if there is). ^^

Although it was a simple evening, I'm glad my Daddy enjoyed it. Some of you even asked me, "Your parents can catch the movie meh? 1st and 2nd already watch ka?"

Haahaha.. I got some DVDs for POTC 1 and 2 and made them watch it. Otherwise, they 'no head no tail' keep asking me in the movies sure very pek chek. So, prepare them for the movies first mar.. ^^

Happy Birthday Pa~!!
(28th May 2007)
:+: Waiting at the entrance :+:

When I was editing this picture, I was laughing the whole time. Why?! Look at my Daddy. He pouted!! LMAO.. Tak Sangka!

:+: 1 Now 1 Nescafe :+:

Went to BDC Everise on yesterday (the Sardinised pau is sold somewhere in this very same building). I have to restock my coffee, my power drink. One cup of coffee help me stay zombie-free. Therefore, I start my day with a cup of coffee.

I've just finished a bottle of Nescafe Gold. It's quite plain and not very kicking, not KAW as some would say it. So, I'm going for Nescafe Arabica this time. I like the aroma of it when I first drank it from the mini hotel packing. Can you imagine Coffee without the aroma? Wah lao.. It's like having internet connection without a computer. Go figure..

There were no bottled Nescafe Arabica so I took the refill packet. I didn't take a picture of it and went to Nestle to look for it. Guess what? They don't have it. Zzzzz..

Anyway, the SPOONS caught my eyes. So cute ok! Why don't they just do the same for Nescafe Arabica? This marketers are really genius. Instead of getting just one packet of coffee, I got myself two coffee in two different packing. Grok grok... Nescafe Classic VS Nescafe Arabica. Which should I start first? Hmmm...

:+: Why is the Rum Gone? :+:

Remember this? For those Nuffnangers, you would know about the
B
IGGEST BLOGGER EVENT EVER HELD IN THE HISTORY OF MALAYSIA -
Timothy Tiah of Nuffnang

I'm sure all the Nuffnangers enjoyed their movie last night. How was the movie?? Too bad I'm SOOOOOOOOO FAR AWAY from KL. Else, I would definitely participate in this BIG EVENT.

* * * * *

Why is the RUM GONE?

:+: Coz Anna drank them all :+:

Today is a special day, can say it's MY Lucky Day! Why is the rum gone? It is because DiGi took it and gave it to ANNA.
"Pirates of Caribbean 3 screening - 28 May. Show SMS to redeem 4 FREE tickets @ DiGi Centre, 25 May, 11am-5.30pm / 26 May, 11am-1pm. While tickets last."

Thanks to DiGi Fu-Yoh, I got 4 frigging tickets to the movies!! How cool is that?! So, now you know why the rum is gone! On top of that, 28th May is Dad's birthday. I can't buy him anything because he got everything he wanted. He got $$ *kaching kaching* to buy whatever he wants mar. What other better gift, than bringing him to the movies? Plus, Chow Yun Fatt is in it. After the movies, I would treat us all supper at Open Air, eat Ah Mui's Gu Bak Mee. I think it should be ok for him. What say you?

:+: Advertlets Review :+:

Do you know that Advertlets.com is giving away RM15,000 this month? That's 15k man!

Well, there's no free lunch in this world. You have to work your way to the $$ *kaching kaching*
You'll have to write a review on Advertlets. Well, the lucky winner won't get RM15,000. No? Hehe.. Sharing is Caring. Advertlets is giving RM50 each away to 300 Malaysian Advertlets Bloggers for reviews on their service.

RM50 x 300 = RM15,000

This opportunity closes 31st May 2007. If I'm one of the 300, I'll be RM50 richer. hoho...

"jimmychin: hi anna, do you wan other advertisement company in malaysia...? come to join www.advertlets.com this one earn more :)"

By his words, "...this one earn more", I instantly registered an account in Advertlets. *tao chio tao chio*

Thanks Jimmy for introducing Advertlets. Really need more *kaching kaching* $$$. I'm not soooo Money minded, okay? Just that, I need more *kaching kaching* $$$. I spend more than what I earn. Need to start saving for the future <-- Buuu Buuu... Virgo whistling...

Look at this! I so like it. It's like those themes that says, "Earn while you Blog" and "Blog while you Advertise". Advertisers and Bloggers do what they love and get what they love too. *kaching kaching*

Other than that, I really like their cartoons orh.. So cute and umm.. why only guys cartoons?

Advertlets not only benefits the bloggers but also the advertisers. If you would like to advertise your products and services online, you can opt for Advertlets. Basically, Adverlets is working on marketing scheme and networking. Is it not? Good marketing, good feedback. More feedback, more profits. More profits = More $$.

Now that I have Advertlets, I really do hope to get more inflows (readers & $$). Inflows won't come in as easy as snapping fingers, I have to work for it. I have to put in more effort and improve my:
  • blogging skills
  • phototaking skills
  • charismatic skills
  • etc..
I really admire 5Xmom. She earns while doing what she likes, blogging. If I have 10% of her skills, I think I would be 50% richer than before. nyek nyek nyek..

Now now..

Be a Darling and take the poll by the sidebar. *kaching smile $.$*
Thanks in advance. *another kaching smile $.$*

Lastly, I hope that Advertlets would organise something like this again. hehe...

:+: Row row.. Row the boat :+:

Anna is going makan makan again. hoho.. After a few days of rest, as what Yomi said as Sleep Debt, I din't get full sleep during the finals. So, it's pay back time. hiak hiak... My term of rest consists of:
  • Sleep late
  • Wake up late
  • Movie marathon -> catching up with the movies & completing all my China DVDs
  • Gunbound -> Trash NOOBs
  • Eat, eat, eat
  • Free my mind from the busy world

I'm glad I completed my Diploma, IF I don't fail any subjects this semester. I'll be going back to work and that means less online hours during daytime and less Gunbound session. Boo Hoo.. However, my holiday to Singapore, motivated me to wake up at 7.45am everyday and TRY to reach the office by 8.30am. I need *kaching kaching* $$$!!! So I can Shop Till I Drop. MY TRIP TO SINGAPORE!!! Yee Haw~! Can't wait!!

I took hours making this 'poster' of mine. I'm an OkuiPhotoshopper, I need Photoshop lessons!! Argh.. It's midnight already. I better hit the sack. Good night! Meeting my dear puppies tomorrow. NGahAhHAhahaha..

:+: Iglool :+:

:+: Iglool with an extra L :+:

There's two Iglool in Kuching. There's one in 4th Mile and another in King Centre. I went to the King Centre's Iglool. It shares the same building as FTMS. Go figure.

What's with the extra 'L'? How do you actually pronounce it?
ee-glu-oo-L?

The exterior doesn't look like an Igloo, that's why it's called Iglool. ngeheheh.. *self defined term* Look at the glass, it says, 'Wi Fi not available yet'. Maybe 'Wi Fi coming soon..' would sound better. From outside, you can see the whole place is BRIGHT and cozy and cold (literally by its name, Iglool).

:+: Snow flakes! :+:

:+: I like the concept using bottles of flowers but I don't like fake flowers :+:

There you have the Igloo with a HUGE penguin up there. The Igloo and Penguin is on top of the counter. That fella is not THE only person to take pictures of the penguin, I as well. This penguin reminded me so much of Happy Feet. Have you watched it yet?

Let's talk food now. *slurps slurps*
Yes.. That's an egg yolk on ice. I was SuperShocked when Angel ordered this. I'm like WTF egg yolk?! RAW EGG YOLK mind you. RAW is WAR. War among the ice lar.. Extra topping, the egg yolk, is an additional of RM0.50. You can curi bring one in and crack it in yourself. That'll cost you RM0.22 only. Caught = Priceless. Haha..

You have to bury the egg yolk in the milk ice till it's cooked? Somehow frozen a little and you can savour its sweetness and slimyness. I tried a little. It's pretty good but I still can't see how ice and egg yolk blends here. yerkz...

This is mine babehs. It's of course taste like mango and sweet. (^.<)> You can opt for extra mango jam topping and that'll be extra RM1.00. I wanted Fresh Real Mango for the topping, unfortunately, they only have JAM. cis... !@$#@%$&!!

:+: Frost? :+:

:+: The Iglool Best Seller: Green Tea Ice with Chocolate Jam + Egg Yolk :+:

:+: The atmosphere is cold, ice is cold, we became 'cold' :+:

Here are the Menus. It's too small if you see it at this size. Therefore, feel free to click them for the full picture. Prices are all in Ringgit Malaysia. *kaching kaching*

:+: My Fav KY Cafe :+:

K. Y. Cafe is one of the Kopitiam I like to go ever since I was a young.

History:
*Dug some history from my parents*
KY Cafe was once a Chinese Traditional 'Pharmacy'. I guess Mr Kiu is a chinese tai fu. He of course came from China. In 1970 or 80's, because business was not doing well and also Mr Kiu's son came back from Taiwan, they Mr Kiu changed business to a kopitiam.

:+: KY Cafe :+:

Located in Sekama area, it's a corner shop and it is impossible to miss it. Very easy to find. It's right opposite the Sekama Dangdut, Karaoke centre. *ghey place*

Don't look down on such kopitiam. It has the best local food, ok?! The kolo mee, moi and liang teh are their best! Their business is so good that you will have to wait up to 1/2 hour for your meal.

:+: Noodles section :+:

These are the Kiu Brothers. The one on the left is the one that went to Taiwan. He went there to learn masak masak.

:+: Moi, Kueh Chap & Tang Hoon section :+:

:+: Moi with Egg :+:

:+: Moi with Century Egg :+:

Normally, I would come for supper. To enjoy moi of course. Their moi is the best I tell you. I still prefer the moi cooked by ah pek, Snr Kiu.

:+: Their Special Liang Teh :+:

Their Liang Teh is one of the best in Kuching. It tastes like cin cau without the jelly.

Now, I'm craving for moi and the liang teh.

:+: My New Pot :+:

My parents bought this cute little pot from Ikea on their last visit to KL couple of weeks ago. It is so small that it can only cook for one. I will of course open ceremony upon this new pot. Welcome to the family! Haha..

First time cooking a new pot, sure cook moi (porridge) lo...

Just a short post. More updates coming soon..

:+: Simple Fried Noodles :+:

Cooking instant noodles is one of my best. Instant noodle is the easiest, simplest, cheapest and yet delicious and satisfying.

:+: Chao Mien Da Wang = Fried Noodles King :+:
(Direct Translation)

  1. Place the noodle in the bowl with half a bowl of hot water.
  2. Micro for 1 minute. Then turn the noodle and micro for another 1 minute.
  3. Drain the water.
  4. Grab some carrot and cucumber. Wash them and peel the carrot's skin off.
  5. Don't forget to put in the sauce.
  6. Mix well.
  7. Get that orange machine on the bowl.
  8. Shred the carrot and cucumber.
Tadaaa...

:+: Simple but Delicious :+:

Just like those Mee Goreng by Maggi, Myojo and those Indon instant noodles. This one is a Chinese style of Mee Goreng. It is spicy and good. So, by adding some carrots and cucumber, it makes the noodles not so plain and there's something crispy to chew. kekeke...
